I'm a little bit disappointed in this torrent. For starters, a lot of it's not in English... though one can still figure it all out. In addition... I mean... look, indeed it contains what it says it contains... but some of what's in it really isn't the best solution for some of the applications... mostly because some of what's in it aren't really keygens at all, but, rather, patches and activators and such as that.
Then there's the fact that many of them kick warnings from virus scanners that they contain exploits. And please don't lecture me that that's to be expected because the software used for patching is often based on the same kind of software used for exploit creation. I *know* that... but that doesn't change the fact that it's never a good idea to not trust one's virus software. I know what I'm talking about on this one. It's true that most exploits, even if they're allowed to infect, can be gotten back off the system by simply running one's virus scanner before one goes to bed that night. Voila! Problem fixed. But about four months ago, I, having that attitude, went ahead and allowed an exploit to infect so that I could benefit from a keygen... and it ended-up being the kind of exploit that messed with the TCP/IP stack, with the core of Internet Explorer (which, of course, is an integral part of Windows itself), and with the registry in such a way that, ultimately, though I pretty much got the system back working again, it was never really right... and I finally, in frustration, just re-installed Windows in order to get that copy of XP back to its healthy self. It just wasn't worth it. Someone in the hacker/cracker world needs to take all of those tools and rewrite them so that they can really only be used to hack/crack software, but not to write viruses and spyware so that the software patches, activators, loaders and keygens/keymakers will stop tripping anti-virus software... or so it is merely my opinion, for what it's worth.
At any rate, right out of the gate, the Acrobat patch that I looked at, in this torrent, kicked my anti-virus scanner. Unwilling to even risk screwing-up my Vista machine like I screwed-up that XP machine, I told it to quarantine the patch... so, right there, the Acrobat part of this torrent is useless. That's pretty bad, considering that of all Adobe products, Acrobat is probably its most popular and most used... even more popular and more used than PhotoShop (according to Adobe's own statistics).
Also, with Adobe products, patches and activators really don't work very well... at least not if you intend to use the updater within whatever Adobe product you're talking about.
With Adobe products, keygens which first generate installation keys; then, later, activation keys, are the best. With such solutions as those, one first disconnects one's machine from the Internet; then installs using the generated installation key; then specifies activation over the telephone, which causes the installer to provide a code that, were one activating over the telephone, one would give to the Adobe representative but, instead, one keys or pastes into the keygen; then the keygen, using the original installation key the it generated, plus the pasted-in (or keyed-in) code that the installer generated, generates a final activation code... which is pasted into the correct box in the installer... and away you go. You can even reconnect to the Internet once you've done it that way.
Doing it that way activates in such a way that, for that moment forward, the Adobe product actually believes it's legitimately activated... forever. Because of that, the given Adobe product in question is, for there on, able to update from within itself, either manually or automatically, using its internal updater routine/utility.
Doing it that way is nice, also, because even if a given Adobe product is in an advanced version stage, one can begin by installing an earlier version using the appropriate keygen, then manually update up to the most current version. That's the way I did Acrobat Professional 8. I started by installing the first version 8.0; then, because I used a good keygen (rather than a patch) which provided not only the installation code, but also a valid activation code, too, I then updated from within Acrobat, using its internal updater, until I got to version 8.12 (which, at this writing, is the most current version). Acrobat never even hesitated because the quality of the keygen ensured that Acrobat 8.0 would think that it was legitimately activated.
I've tried patching Adobe products, and it just doesn't work well, over the longrun... especially when using Vista, which is a platform on which Adobe products are a little fragile to begin with. I patched Acrobat Professional 8.1 once, and it never really worked quite right. And the very first time I downloaded an update, bang!, it considered itself an expired trial version again. The only way I finally fixed the problem was to download an ISO image of a full version of Acrobat Pro 8.0, with a high-quality keygen which generated both installation and activation codes, and that worked like a charm.
And that thing I just wrote about Acrobat fragility on Vista is a huge thing, too... and an even *MORE* important reason to be careful about patching Adobe products on Vista. Even with the version of Acrobat that I have on my Vista machine right now (which, incidentally, my guilt over pirating it is now causing me to save-up to actually purchase legitimately, I must admit... probably in May of 2008, if all goes well), because it's running on quirky Vista and not stable XP, I get false errors telling me it's not activated, when it really is. All I have to do is reboot and totally flush RAM and suddenly it starts working right again.
So, with apps as delicate and, in many cases, Windows-hostile as Adobe products are to begin with, I strongly recommend to those contemplating this download that they should avoid the parts of it that are patches and/or activators; that that even its keygens should be avoided if they don't generate both installation and activation codes.
That said, don't get me wrong... *SOME* of what's in this torrent is really nice... works perfectly. But beware of the parts of it that are sub-standard keygens (which don't generate both installation and activation codes), or which are patches or activators.
And to the person to uploaded the torrent: Please don't be offended. I'm just trying to help. My suggestion to you, if you really want to help people with Adobe products, would be to re-issue it with patches and activators gone, and with only the highest quality keygens available which generate both installation and activation codes.
Just a suggestion, for whatever that's worth. Sorry if I ruffled anyone's feathers. Again... just tryin' to help.
In my above post, I wrote "That said, don't get me wrong... *SOME* of what's in this torrent is really nice... works perfectly."
Actually, upon closer examination, I take that back. I mean, *some* of it does... but, honestly, almost every folder either contains something with a virus in it, or at least makes my anti-virus software *think* that it does. In either case, by the time I tol my anti-virus software to quarantine everthing from every folder that contained something bad, hardly anything was left. What was left pretty much worked... but, again, it's just not worth it.
I now strongly recommend against downloading this torrent. It's a great idea, and I don't mean to suggest that the person who uploaded it meant any harm to anyone. I just think that if one is going to do something like that, one should make sure that that which one includes in the torrent both works well, and won't kick an anti-virus alarm.
