DILEMMA [Released in Japan only, as a Bonus Track on the Ms Kelly album 2007] is the hit single by the rapper Nelly, featuring Kelly Rowland from Destiny's Child, released in 2002, from the 2002 album Nellyville. Dilemma was Kelly Rowland's first international solo single away from Destiny's Child and was the first single from her debut album Simply Deep. It is based melodically on and uses lyrical elements of Patti LaBelle's Love, Need And Want You from her 1983 album I'm In Love Again. Patti also plays a part in the music video, as Kelly Rowland's mother. Kelly Rowland's part in Dilemma was originally offered to Christina Aguilera, but Aguilera declined the offer. Dilemma won Best Rap/Sung Collaboration at the Grammy Awards of 2003.
LIKE THIS [Released as first single from Ms Kelly album, on March 13th 2007] is an R&B song recorded by American singer-songwriter Kelly Rowland. It was written by Sean Garrett, Rowland, Eve Jeffers, Jamal Jones, Elvis Williams, and Jason Perry and co-produced by Polow Da Don, S-Dot, Garrett, Perry, and Williams for Rowland's second studio album Ms. Kelly [2007], featuring guest vocals by rapper Eve. The music video for the song was directed by Mike Ruiz and shot on-location at a Hollywood Hills house on March 12th 2007. The video starts with Rowland walking into her room after taking a shower. When she notices a webcast of her, she quickly throws a towel over it. She is then next seen in front of her vanity table, getting ready for a party while singing the lyrics.
GHETTO [Released as second single from Ms Kelly album, on August 7th 2007] is an R&B song written by American singer Kelly Rowland, Durrell [Tank] Babbs, Calvin Broadus, and J. [Lonny] Bereal for Rowland's second studio album Ms. Kelly [2007]. It also was produced by Tank and features guest vocals by rapper Snoop Dogg. The music video for Ghetto was directed by Andrew Gura and shot on August 23rd 2007 in Los Angeles, California. It has cameo appearances by MC Eiht, Kam, and Soopafly.
WORK [Released as third single from Ms Kelly album, on January 21st 2008] was written by Rowland, Scott Storch and Jason [Pooh Bear] Boyd and co-produced by Storch and Boyd for Rowland's second studio album, Ms. Kelly [2007]. The music video for Work was filmed in Los Angeles, California on July 26th 2007. The imagery used in this video can be described as Rowland and her dancers posed in silhouette and shot against backdrops of vivid color and beam lighting. The beam lighting is used throughout the video to create a kaleidoscope effect which is used to break up each scene. During the last part of the clip the lighting schemes are reversed to show Rowland and her four dancer’s out of silhouette and performing a choreographed bollywood style routine against a black backdrop.
DAYLIGHT [Released as the lead single from Rowland's re-release album Ms. Kelly: Diva Deluxe, on March 4th 2008] is a R&B song written by Bobby Womack and Harold Payne, released in 1976 as a single by Womack. In 2007, the song was re-recorded by American pop singer Kelly Rowland and front man Travis McCoy of the indie hip-hop band Gym Class Heroes for the soundtrack of French film Asterix at the Olympic Games. The video for Daylight was directed by Jeremy Rall and produced by Gina Leonard for Siblings Inc. and shot in New York City, New York, just ten blocks from the Empire State Building. The video shows Rowland among a bunch of people in a party scene alongside Travis McCoy. The other members of Gym Class Heroes make cameo appearances in the video.
