Il movimento 8bit è ormai diventato un fenomeno artistico e di costume di tutto rispetto, legato ma non troppo seriamente alla diffusione della game art come fenomeno socio-culturale. 8bitpeople rappresenta una vera e propria community di creativi capace di lavorare collettivamente a vari progetti, live performances, release online e grafiche di vario tipo: spingendo al massimo i limiti audiovisivi delle consolle arcade di prima e seconda generazione (dai Game Boy agli atari ai Commodore) i ragazzi di 8beatpeople forniscono attraverso il loro sito copie dei loro album, covers in qualità di stampa, release audio di alta qualità.
