Robin Alan Thicke [born March 10th 1977 in Los Angeles, California] is a Canadian-American Grammy Award winning R&B singer, songwriter, musician, composer, and occasional actor. Thicke has penned a wide range of hits for pop artists such as Jordan Knight, writing and co-producing an extensive share of his self-titled album, Usher, Christina Aguilera, Mya, Brandy, Michael Jackson and Marc Anthony. In 2005 Thicke won his first Grammy award for his collaborations on Usher's 2004 release Confessions.
'Something Else' is the third studio album by American R&B singer Robin Thicke, released on September 30th 2008 in the U.S.A. and October 13th 2008 in the UK . It is a follow up to Thicke's highly successful second album 'The Evolution Of Robin Thicke' and features a guest appearance by Lil Wayne. After Robin Thicke finished up his tour for the 'The Evolution Of Robin Thicke' album he immediately got into the studio to start recording the album. The album features production from Thicke and Pro J. Thicke has described the album as "wine and bubbly" type music. 'Magic' was chosen as the lead single and debuted on the R&B/Hip-Hop singles chart on May 29th 2008 at number ninety, and has since peaked at No.10, giving Thicke his second top ten on the chart. The album debuted at No.3 on the Billboard 200 selling 136,944 copies the first week.
