Recounts the evolution of modern music through the history of the twentieth century. The narrative device to generate traces (and demons), ranging from the Charleston to jazz, doo-wop to psychedelic, from rock'n'roll to punk, is the story of a family of Russian immigrants to America in the early twentieth century: Zamie by her son Benny, the son of the latter, Tony, and last, Pete. All with musical ambitions and dreams of becoming famous. Only the last descendant - a Bowie punkeggiante, triggered the tune of "Devil With The Blue Dress On" - will succeed in the late seventies. Beautiful soundtrack with songs by Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, Sex Pistols, Janis Joplin, etc.. ETC.

Narra l’evoluzione della musica moderna attraverso la storia del novecento. L'espediente narrativo per ripercorre generi (e demoni), che spaziano dal charleston al jazz, dal doo-wop alla psichedelica, dal rock'n'roll al punk, e' la storia di una famiglia russa immigrata in America nei primi del novecento: da Zamie a suo figlio Benny, al figlio di questi, Tony e, ultimo, Pete. Tutti con ambizioni musicali ed il sogno di diventare famosi. Solo l’ultimo discendente - un Bowie punkeggiante, scatenato sulle note di “Devil With The Blue Dress On” - vi riuscira' nei tardi anni settanta. Bellissima la colonna sonora con canzoni di Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, Sex Pistols, Janis Joplin ecc. ecc.
Insomma un film che non puo' mancare nella vostra videoteca.
