Recensione e Trama

Nel 1958 Joseph, l'ultimo commissario coloniale della Rhodesia, è responsabile di un immenso territorio. con l'aiuto di Suzie e Samson, suo fedele servitore, cerca di essere il più possibile giusto nell'espletare la sua funzione. Joseph torna in Inghilterra, deluso dalla trasformazione in atto nel Paese. Samson intanto aderisce al movimento terroristico Zapu. Joseph torna in Africa e con Samson conduce la fattoria dell'amata Suzie, Samson però riceve l'ordin dal movimento di incendiarla, ma viene catturato e processato. Mentre Joseph lotta affinché l'amico Samson venga graziato, quest'ultimo è combattuto: denunciare i propri compagni ed avere salva la vita oppure affrontare l'inesorabile verdetto dei giudici? Ma ormai non c'è più tempo...
