As its prequels, UFO: Afterlight is a mixture of squad
based tactical action and global strategy with the gamer
controlling the actions of elite ground troops, and the
running and expansion of the home base while collecting
resources.
Although the basic game specifications will remain
similar to those of UFO: Aftershock, there are many new
additions and improvements in both strategic and tactical
elements of the game. As Mars is the planet on which all
the action will take place, we’ll have the opportunity to
meet a number of new enemies, research new technologies,
manufacture and use new advanced weapons, and even change
the face of the planet in order to make it habitable to
humans. All these plus a new graphical look, focus on RPG,
smart scripting and a new insight on the series’ storyline
will make the game a unique challenge to create a new home
for mankind.
